This workshop explores the intersection of Agent-Based Modeling, Complex Networks, and High-Performance Computing for large-scale systems. It includes talks, a panel, posters, and a hands-on course on Vahana.jl. Aimed at researchers and students in complex systems and related fields. Speakers from various universities will present. Free participation with registration; poster abstracts due November 10th.
The current emissions from computing are almost 4% of the world total. This is already more than emissions from the airline industry and ICT emissions are projected to rise steeply over the next two decades. By 2040 emissions from computing alone will account for more than half of the emissions budget to keep global warming below 1.5°C. Consequently, this growth in computing emissions is unsustainable.
The 17th International Conference on Social Computing, Behavioral-Cultural Modeling, & Prediction and Behavior Representation in Modeling and Simulation will be held on September 18-20, 2024. Submissions for paper are due 21st July 2024.
Applications are now open for the 2024 OSG School: https://osg-htc.org/school-2024/
Through lectures, discussions, and lots of hands-on activities with experienced OSG staff, you will learn how HTC systems work, how to run and manage lots of jobs and huge datasets to implement a scientific computing workflow, and where to get more information and help.
