I’ve always liked the last stage of academic work, when months of research finally turn into a document you can actually hold. While looking into dissertation binding I noticed that little things like paper quality, cover material, binding style, page order, and university submission requirements can matter more than I first assumed. I guess I naturally zoom in on those small production details because a well-prepared dissertation should be easy to read, practical to handle, and worth keeping.
