UAB (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain) invites applications for a fellowship focused on the development and optimization of real ABMs applications and extending the synthetic agent-based models for performance evaluation.
At the application domain level, the potential of agent-based modelling (ABMs) for realistic simulation of social networks makes it important to define optimization policies that consider the specific characteristics of this type of application. In addition, the utility of synthetic models, which enable the replication of essential characteristics of large agent-based simulations underscores the desirability of expanding these models with new features, such as agents’ geolocation or including non-spatial communications.
This position is ideal for candidates with a background in High Performance Computing, performance analysis and optimization, ABM, simulation of social organisations, or agent-based technologies who are passionate about integrating AI to make impactful advancements in society.
The selected fellow would be integrated in the Computer Architecture and Operating Systems Department (CAOS) at the UAB, within the research group High Performance Computing Applications for Science and Engineering (HPCA4SE).
