We are seeking candidates for a one-year postdoc position to work on the EU Horizon 2020 project PROTON. The position will involve the development of agent-based models of recruitment to organized crime and terrorist networks.
The Laboratory of Agent Based Social Simulation (LABSS) is part of the Institute of Cognitive Sciences and Technologies (ISTC) and the Italian National Research Council (CNR) and is located in central
Rome, Italy.
We are a highly interdisciplinary research group working at the intersection of cognitive, social, and computational sciences. Accordingly, the position requires a team player with a willingness to thrive in a highly interdisciplinary environment. The laboratory welcomes researchers from all countries and operates mainly in the context of EU-funded research.
Mathematical, agent-based modelling, and programming skills are required. Knowledge of agent-based simulation platforms, in particular, NetLogo, and statistical analysis tools, for example R, is essential too.
While highly desirable, a PhD is not an essential requirement. We will also consider candidates who are nearing the end of their PhD.

Salary per year: if with a Master Degree, EUR 19,367 (about EUR 17,160 net) or, if with a PhD title, EUR 22,000 (about EUR 19,500 net);
