The Dynamics Lab at University College Dublin seeks applications for a
Post-doctoral position. The postdoctoral researcher will be expected to
work primarily on the project entitled Autonomic Home Area Network
Infrastructure and Agent-Based Models. As part of the Dynamics Lab
project, the post-doctoral researcher will be expected to use an Agent
Based Modelling (ABM) approach to simulate and test various realistic
alternatives for domestic energy user behaviour and outcomes within the
Home Area Network Infrastructure. This research will provide insights into
how individuals can be incentivised over time in order to adopt new and
more efficient energy use behaviour in the home and how those behavioural
decisions can be maintained over the medium term. This project is part of a
major research programme which seeks to design and deliver a Home Area
Network (HAN) infrastructure capable of supporting opportunistic decision
making pertaining to effective energy management within the home.
