Spatial Simulation at GI_Forum 2018
Context advances in geocomputation
The dynamic evolution of spatial simulation is driven by the quest for a deeper understanding of complex systems. Recent scientific contributions promote process-oriented simulation models as a complementary asset to the field of analytical data science. Advances in process-oriented geocomputational methods as well as their applications are the main focus of this special session.
Scope of the Session
We invite contributions that advance the state-of-art in spatial simulation modelling, including but not limited to:
Submission
Contributions can either be submitted as full paper, extended abstract (deadline: February 1, 2018) or poster (deadline: May 1, 2018). Authors of accepted full papers and extended abstracts are invited to present and discuss their papers (15’+5’) in the special session. Authors of accepted posters are invited for a lightning talk (5’). Full papers and extended abstracts will be published in the GI-Forum Journal (Open Access).
Contact
The special session is organised by the Spatial Simulation research group at the Department of Geoinformatics – Z_GIS, University of Salzburg. Please contact gudrun.wallentin@sbg.ac.at for any inquiries.
