The Network for Computational Modeling in Social and Ecological Sciences (CoMSES Net) will host a workshop on agent-based modeling in education February 28 - March 2, 2013, at Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ.
The workshop will focus both on using models for teaching and on teaching modeling at K-12 and college levels. Speakers include Uri Wilensky (Northwestern University), Irene Lee (Santa Fe Institute), Bill Rand (University of Maryland), Marco Janssen (Arizona State University), and Steve Railsback (Humbolt State University).
This workshop should offer valuable insights to those who seek to embed computational thinking and practice into the training of the next generation of social and natural scientists. A key aim of the workshop is to share experiences and best practices and compile a list of suggestions, material and sources that we will share via the CoMSES Network.
The workshop will be streamed to all that wish to attend electronically. In order to facilitate your online access to the workshop we ask that you register with us beforehand. Registration can be accessed at the link below and will only take a minute to complete.
