This model describes and analyses the Travel-Tour Case study.

Peer reviewed Pumpa irrigation model

Marco Janssen Irene Perez Ibarra | Published Wednesday, January 09, 2013 | Last modified Saturday, April 27, 2013

This is a replication of the Pumpa model that simulates the Pumpa Irrigation System in Nepal (Cifdaloz et al., 2010).

This software simulates cars and bicycles as traffic participants while crossing different crossroad designs such as roundabouts, protected crossroads and standard crossroads. It is written in Netlogo 6.2 and aims to identify safety characteristics of these layouts using agent-based modeling. Participants track the line of sight to each other and print them as an output alongside with the adjacent destination, used layout, count of collisions/cars/bicycles and time.

Detailed information can be found within the info tab of the program itself.

Gini Palma microsimulation

Edgar Oliveira | Published Wednesday, December 11, 2024

The model is a microsimulation, where the agents don’t Interact with each other. It simulates income distribution, unemployment dynamics, education, and Family grant in Brazil, focusing on the impact on social inequality. It tracks the indicators Gini index, Lorenz curve, and Palma ratio. The objective is to explore how these factors influence wealth distribution and social inequality over time.
This work was developed in partnership with the Graduate Program in Computational Modeling, in the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande - FURG, in Brazil.

Pedestrian Scramble

Sho Takami Rami Lake Dara Vancea | Published Tuesday, November 30, 2021

This is a model intended to demonstrate the function of scramble crossings and a more efficient flow of pedestrian traffic with the presence of diagonal crosswalks.

The simulation model conducts fine-grained population projection by specifying life course dynamics of individuals and couples by means of traditional demographic microsimulation and by using agent-based modeling for mate matching.

What is stable: the large but coordinated change during a diffusion or the small but constant and uncoordinated changes during a dynamic equilibrium? This agent-based model of a diffusion creates output that reveal insights for system stability.

Nice Musical Chairs

Andreas Angourakis | Published Friday, February 05, 2016 | Last modified Friday, November 17, 2017

The Nice Musical Chairs (NMC) model represent the competition for space between groups of stakeholders of farming and herding activities in the arid Afro-Eurasia.

We present here MEGADAPT_SESMO model. A hybrid, dynamic, spatially explicit, integrated model to simulate the vulnerability of urban coupled socio-ecological systems – in our case, the vulnerability of Mexico City to socio-hydrological risk.

This purpose of this model is to understand how the coupled demographic dynamics of herds and households constrain the growth of livestock populations in pastoral systems.
