A first version of a model that describes how coalitions are formed during open, networked innovation

A model of circular migration

Anna Klabunde | Published Wednesday, August 07, 2013 | Last modified Wednesday, February 17, 2016

An empirically validated agent-based model of circular migration

Interactions between organizations and social networks in common-pool resource governance

Phesi Project | Published Monday, October 29, 2012 | Last modified Saturday, April 27, 2013

Explores how social networks affect implementation of institutional rules in a common pool resource.

This agent-based model represents a stylized inter-organizational innovation network where firms collaborate with each other in order to generate novel organizational knowledge.

TechNet_04: Cultural Transmission in a Spatially-Situated Network

Andrew White | Published Monday, October 08, 2012 | Last modified Saturday, April 27, 2013

The TechNet_04 is an abstract model that embeds a simple cultural tranmission process in an environment where interaction is structured by spatially-situated networks.

This model simulates the spread of anti-vaccine sentiments in cyber and physical space and how it creates emergence of clusters of anti-vacciners, which eventually lead to higher probablity of disease outbreaks.

The model employs an agent-based model for exploring the victim-centered approach to identifying human trafficking and the approach’s effectiveness in an abstract representation of migrant flows.

Prisoner's Dilemma Game on Complex Networks with Agents' Adaptive Expectations

Bo Xianyu | Published Wednesday, November 16, 2011 | Last modified Saturday, April 27, 2013

This model studies the effect of the agents’ adaptive expectation on cooperation frequency in the prisoner’s dilemma game in complex networks from an agent based approach. The model is implemented in Repast simphony 1.2.

A logging agent builds roads based on the location of high-value hotspots, and cuts trees based on road access. A forest monitor sanctions the logger on observed infractions, reshaping the pattern of road development.

Will it spread or not? The effects of social influences and network topology on innovation diffusion

Sebastiano Delre | Published Monday, October 24, 2011 | Last modified Saturday, April 27, 2013

This models simulates innovation diffusion curves and it tests the effects of the degree and the direction of social influences. This model replicates, extends and departs from classical percolation models.
